The debate on Imam Ali (as) and a Jewish scientist
During the caliphate of Abu Bakr, one day a Jewish scientist came to him and asked: Are you the caliph of the Prophet Muhammad
Abu Bakr: Yes
Where is god?
Scientist: We read in the Torah that the successors of the Prophets are well known to all of his followers.
Maybe you say: God is in heaven, or on earth?
Abu Bakr: God is in the sky on the throne?
Scientist: So, the earth is empty of God, and Allah is in one place and not in one place?
Abu Bakr: This is the words of the unbelievers. A religious man does not speak. Go away, otherwise I'll kill you The Jewish man marveled with surprise, while returning to Abu Bakr while mocking Islam
He confronted with Ali (as)
Imam Ali's response
Imam (pbuh): I understood that you asked Abu Bakr what did he answer to you, but that we believe that God created the place and therefore can not have a place and is superior to that place, But in spite of this, God is everywhere, without contact with anything, or at the same time. He is scientifically surrounded by all places, and none of the creatures is empty of his decree. If you quote from my books what I said correctly, you are Muslim? Scientist: Yes. Imam (pbuh): Is not it in one of your religious books that: "Moses bin Imran sat bye when a angel came from the east. Moses asked him: where did you come from? The angel said, "Be before God." Another angel came from the west. Moses asked, "Where did you come from?" Said beforehand to God. Another angel came. Moses asked, "Where did you come from?" He replied: "From the seventh earth and before God." Moses, in seeing this scenery, said with amazement: "It is pure, he who is not empty from nowhere, and is not closer to another place." After quoting this story, the Jewish scientist said: "I certify that what you said is completely correct, and you are more deserving of succession to your Prophet."
